  •      This is the theme song from my published book "The First Concert" containing music score and lyrics. The star singer Elise was selected to the prestigious honor of leading all festivities for the week-long 'Grand Gala Opening' of the exquisitely built new Concert hall with overwhelming popular acclaim. The fabulous facility is situated on the scenic port city of Kochi on the coast of Arabian sea. This magnificent concert hall is innovatively designed; endowed and furnished with acoustically, architecturally, technologically, environmentally-friendly, unique, and superb facilities. It's a futuristic and feature-rich structure built on a sprawling, landscaped complex, bringing history, culture, traditions, performing, fine arts, graphic arts, and Television/ Film production together at one place. Audience are taken to unprecedented new levels of immersive 3D listening and visual experience. It has no peers at all! It is built by an Arab Sheikh from his "Philanthropy and Charity family trust fund" in recognition of the enduring role of Kerala expatriates in their invaluable manpower and technical support to the advancement and progress of his country. Elise is going to open the concert with a song based on her outlook and career altering true-life story. In her childhood, Elise experienced a life-threatening close encounter with a traumatic drowning incident. She was watching the spectacular fireworks at the culmination of the "Fiesta of St. George" at Edathua church from the deck of a boat moored at the bank of a meandering canal where many spectators throng to watch the spectacular spectacles in the skies. She was thrown overboard straight into the waters by the turbulence/ rocking of the boats by the ecstatic revelers. No one really noticed! As she was emerging for her third (ultimate) dip, heroically, a boy from another boat parked across the canal dived into waters at once, skillfully piggy-backed her to the safety of the outstretched arms of her alarmed parents. Night was falling and he disappeared from everybody's sight altogether. Elise and her parents felt remiss and painful remorse in not meeting the boy and thanking him at all. She feels persistently tormented! She wrote about it in her school's Year book. By a twist of fate and fortune, a musician felt intrigued by the story, style, and sentiments expressed in a victim’s 'point-of-view' account. Soon, it blossomed into a massive hit song beyond all expectations. In order to reach out and give her thanks, Elise sings to the boy, surely a grown-up man now, in her angelic voice "Say, Just say, I heard you!". She enlists her audeence to this noble effort. The plea resonated among the audience in a touching manner. They responded with cheerful willingness, eagerness, and sympathy. It sets off a chain of spontaneous live events that evolved into integral parts of the opening concert and events there after. An incidental "cameo' appearance climaxed the prevailing drama, and gripping suspense; sparked wild suppositions and obsessive curiosity. Lo & behold, instantly, it evolved  into a frenzied folks-lore with no ending in sight!
